Motivate yourself ...

There are so many people out there at the Heart of Change. They are working long hours and tirelessly behind the scenes, striving to achieve what is just beyond the horizon.

Think about it young people, you have no excuse to remain at that position you are... if you can think it, then you can achieve it.

Don't give up.

It seems the night will never turn to day
It seems the child would never grow to crawl
It seems our wishes are fantasies that would never come true
It seems our words so spoken would mean no good things
It seems that life has turned her back and fate would always mock us
Like our red seas would never path
Upon our confusion ever powerful, our hopes ever bleak
The wise still assertive would say
Don't you give up
Don't you give up!

When the roses refuse to go red and our farms refuse to speak
When our kinsmen are hopeful that one day, we would enrich the sullen feet of the earth.

Don't you give up!

Because neither the Antelope chased by the Cheetah and neither does the winter wind blur your faces...
The old man is wise as he says he is young
So don't you give up because it only gets better when you never give up.
Waste your time so you have no way to take your life
For in due time we will all fade away
So wait, and don't give up.
Until the seas are made land and man is guarded by day... We would not loose our humanity, lest we perish.
Don't give up.
Even until death, even when life dies
Even when all have lost hope
And all you see in the mirror looks like the end. Don't you give up
Because even after death, there is life!

I'm proud to be a child. Our Voice: Our Future!...

LoveBirds evening Reflection with Praise Fowowe(c)2013

Your Child and Sex 23– AWARENESS & I (5-8years)

Bro Praise, I want to lend my voice to this issue of child sexual abuse and to warn parents on the need for them to be observant because I am just trying to break out of what my uncle... subjected me to. He was so fond of me that my parents never suspected anything as he would insist I came to his house for weekend and you must believe this I saw all kinds of things in his house. He wasn’t married at the time little did we know he was gay. I was 7 and saw him have sex with men and he warned me not to tell anyone. One of his male friends started practising same with me and I remember how I complained to my parents that I don’t want to be going to his house again because he was a bad uncle and how my mother shouted me down never to say that about her younger brother again. I remember complaining several times of anal pains and was told it was because I was dirty. Before I knew it I developed same tendency for males and touched quite a number of male friends. I am not married but I can tell you I have secretly followed your write up in the last 5years and can tell you I have kept off gay in the last 2years. Please parents need to help their children against household enemies(Isaac – Benin).

If you have not started teaching your child basic sexuality education as a parent, what you are doing is co-operating with the predator to molest your child. You will not always be around your kids but by empowering them against the predator it becomes difficult for them to be sexually molested because the strength of every predator is the ignorance of a child. What should your child do when the predator comes calling? Teach your child to Say No, Report to parents and teachers , Run away , Shout or bite the person.
You don’t have to wait till your child is molested we all need to protect every child around us because no child is really safe until every child becomes safe.
